Principal Investigator: Len B. Novilla, MD, MPH
You are invited to participate because you are a healthcare provider or healthcare administrator, who is currently working in a healthcare setting/institution in the United States. This survey is being conducted by Len B. Novilla, MD, MPH, Associate Professor; Carl L. Hanson, PhD, CHES, Professor; Jeff Glenn, DrPH, MA, Assistant Professor; Alisha H. Redelfs, DrPH, MPH, Assistant Professor; Robert B. Clark, MD, MPH, FAAFP; Ella G. Cook, BS Public Health (c); Victor Moxley, MPH, JD; Melissa Hewitt, BS Public Health (c); Lynneth Kirsten Novilla, BS Public Health; Kelsey Ham, BS Public Health; and Hunter Frerichs, BS Public Health (c) from Department of Public Health at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah. This study will help us determine the perspectives of healthcare providers/administrators on families/households as healthcare partners and in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy, COVID-19 vaccine equity, and COVID-19 misinformation.
You will be sent an email invitation to participate in an online survey through Reaction Data. If you agree to participate, you will be requested to complete an anonymous online survey that will take approximately ten (10) minutes of your time.
There are no known organizational, relational, or physical risks with answering the survey. However, there is a possibility of a minimal level of discomfort in responding to the survey questions. To handle this potential issue, we have pre-tested the survey to a small number of target respondents to identify and address concerns on question framing and clarity.
There will be no direct benefits to you. It is hoped, however, that through your participation as a healthcare provider/administrator, the researchers will be able to better understand the role and responsibilities of the family/household in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as they pertain to addressing COVID-19 misinformation, vaccine hesitancy, and inequities. Additionally, the findings will provide vital insights on the level of readiness of healthcare providers/administrators for implementing a family-centric care, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your responses are completely anonymous. No personal identifying information or IP addresses will be collected. Data will be aggregated via the Reaction Data reporting function. Any remaining personal identifiers will be removed by Reaction Data to render the data anonymous for analysis, interpretation, and presentation. The results will be stored in a password-protected BYU computer that is in a locked private office. Only members of the research team will have access to the data for further analyses.
There is no payment/reimbursement for participating in this survey.
Your participation is voluntary. You have the right to withdraw at any time or to refuse to participate entirely without jeopardy to your employment.
